Annika Schermerhorn is a Wellesley College Class of 2028 student majoring in Psychology with a minor in Economics. She is open to several research areas, including applied cognitive psychology, education economics, and global healthcare accessibility.

Previous research experience: I completed a psychology research methods course in which I designed, conducted, analyzed, and presented a study on an applied cognition phenomenon. I am also joining a psychology research lab this semester that studies how people interpret and misinterpret data.

How I got started: A research methods course was required for my major, which first introduced me to formal research. I also developed a strong relationship with one of my professors, and after we stayed in touch, he offered me a research position in his lab.
