Addison studies Neuroscience and Health Studies and has research experience spanning educational psychology and synthetic organic chemistry.
Previous research experience: Research Assistant in Dr. Alyssa Lawson's Lawson Learning Lab at Colby, recording and interpreting data and helping run studies on effective learning strategies. In fall 2026, joined the Downey Group at the University of Richmond, which studies TMSOTf-mediated chemical reactivity with potential applications in pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and herbicides.
How I got started: I was curious about how people learn, which led me to the Lawson Learning Lab. Helping run studies gave me a feel for the research process. Later I wanted to try the lab side of chemistry too, so my path hasnt all been in one field
