Social Work
Kate is a Skidmore Social Work graduate and current nursing student whose interests center on mental health, community services, crisis response, and the intersection of social work and healthcare.
Previous research experience: Research Assistant at Skidmore College. Her field experience includes placements at The Charlton School, the Eleanor Young Clinic, RISE Housing and Support Services, Association Gammes in Montpellier, and service with the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team.
How I got started: My social work placements kept bringing up similar questions in different settings. How do people get support, and what makes it hard to use? Research was a way to look beyond one case at a time and see what patterns were there
