Noel Tumbasz is a Kenyon College Class of 2027 student majoring in Chinese and Political Science. Their interests focus on U.S.-China relations, Chinese advanced technologies and their military and geopolitical implications, Chinese influence in Eastern Europe, and the Taiwan question, particularly semiconductors and geopolitical risk.

Previous research experience: I have conducted individual research on the Taiwan question and assisted Professor Bai with research on integrating artificial intelligence into language learning.

How I got started: I got started largely through professors who helped me identify research questions and opportunities connected to my interests.
