Nadya Matish is a Kenyon College Class of 2027 student majoring in Classics. Their interests include Roman literature and history, the relationship between literature and politics in the Roman Empire, and making the ancient world more accessible through teaching, digital database work, and youth outreach.

Previous research experience: I worked as Editorial Assistant to Professor Myers in his role as editor of Vergilius, a peer-reviewed Classics journal focused on Vergil. I also worked as a Kenyon Summer Scholar researching Vergil and creating a compendium of bibliographical sources on the Latin poet.

How I got started: I built a relationship with my Latin professor and began working as a teaching assistant in Kenyon's Classics Department.
