Mallory Hobson is a Kenyon College Class of 2027 student majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Religious Studies. Their interests center on cognitive and behavioral neuroscience, especially how the brain shapes social cognition, emotional processing, identity, and how these processes develop over time.

Previous research experience: I work in the Kenyon Psychological Neuroscience Laboratory, assisting with EEG research on nonverbal social cues, participant data collection, and experimental tasks. I have also worked in a neurodevelopmental genetics lab studying zebrafish, gaining experience with animal care, laboratory maintenance, and research protocols.

How I got started: I reviewed faculty research interests and reached out directly to professors, sharing my coursework, resume, and research interests and asking about opportunities for undergraduate involvement.
