Lucy is a Physics major with a Studio Art minor interested in observational astronomy, astrochemistry, spectroscopy, plasma, magnetic fields, gravitational waves, and scientific visualization.

Previous research experience: Research Assistant at Dickinson developing Python data-analysis tools for laboratory astrochemistry. Previously worked with Professor Hamilton-Drager at Anderson Mesa Station in Flagstaff collecting observational data on binary-star systems using the MESA Observatory 42-inch telescope, and served as an Astronomy TA.

How I got started: An astronomy class and a short observing project got me into it. Being at the telescope, then getting to work with the data afterwards, was the part I really liked. I've been building up my Python skills since then so I can do more of the analysis myself
