Quinn Murphy is a Colgate University Class of 2028 student majoring in Economics and minoring in Asian Studies. Their interests include behavioral economics and how firms, governments, and consumers respond to pricing and risk compared with textbook models.

Previous research experience: I have not yet held a formal research role, but I completed independent literature reviews on Abenomics and Japan's regular/non-regular employment divide and on whether China's 1998–2007 reforms reduced the hukou-based urban-rural divide.

How I got started: I hope to build research experience by writing a blog on economics topics and current events, and next summer I hope to work with an economics professor.
