Madison Mullender is a Centre College Class of 2028 student studying Neuroscience and Psychology. Their research interests focus on how drugs affect different brain regions during learning, memory, and recall, including how task performance changes on versus off a drug.

Previous research experience: I am currently working on a project investigating sex differences in doves during incubation. We are conducting a morphine trial to test whether the positive effects associated with incubation change how long birds remain on the nest.

How I got started: I emailed a professor from one of my major courses to express my interest in research. We met to discuss opportunities, and I began by shadowing student researchers in the spring.
