Emily Immordino is a Centre College Class of 2029 student majoring in Chemistry. Her research interests include analytical and environmental chemistry, with a particular focus on sustainable production practices.

Previous research experience: I am conducting research during the academic year with a professor studying differential scanning calorimetry and how to optimize its use in bourbon production. I contribute by reviewing background literature and running laboratory experiments.

How I got started: I emailed a former chemistry professor I knew well and asked about research opportunities at Centre. After discussing my interests, we found that they aligned closely with his research area, and he offered me a position in his lab.
