Emily is a Berry College Computer Science graduate interested in data science, institutional research, formal methods, and communicating technical results clearly.
Previous research experience: Computer Science Research Assistant at Berry developing and formalizing proofs in the Coq proof assistant. For three years, worked in Berry's Institutional Research office cleaning and analyzing student and institutional datasets, creating visualizations and dashboards, and producing reports with Excel and SPSS. Also served as a Computer Science teaching assistant across Java, Racket, Processing, and Arduino coursework.
How I got started: It actually started with a campus job in the Registrar's Office. Working with college data made me realize I enjoyed sorting through a complicated question and explaining what I found. My later data science classes and work with Coq were different ways of following that interest
