Kara Foucher is a Bates College Class of 2027 student majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Art History. Their current research involves PFAS, and they are preparing applications to biomedical and genetics PhD programs.

Previous research experience: I have experience with assay development at Johnson & Johnson and with BIO 204-related research. I am currently contributing to PFAS research at Bates.

How I got started: I got started by talking directly with my professors, which I have found to be the best way to learn about and get a chance to join research projects.
